Winding-up petition over rates debt targets Portstewart's Ice House Bar

The Ice House, on Portstewart's Promenade, has been closed to the public since late 2024. Its owner, Frances Menary, recently won partial retrospective planning permission from the Planning Appeals Commission for unauthorised works, though an unfinished rear building must be demolished within eight months unless separate permission is secured.

Menary also owns Me & Mrs Jones, a Portstewart boutique hotel that closed suddenly in October 2025, with trading having ceased on 10 October.
