Online pet retailer Funny Fuzzy wound up over £6.3m unexplained payments

Funnyfuzzy Tech UK Co. Ltd, trading as online pet supplies retailer Funny Fuzzy, has been wound up by the High Court on 22 September following an Insolvency Service investigation. The company filed accounts showing no significant transactions despite more than £6.3 million in incoming payments.

Investigators found the company sold to UK customers and used a UK-based returns contractor, despite claiming to operate outside the UK and refusing to cooperate. It listed addresses in London, the USA, China and Hong Kong, but showed no presence at its registered London office.

Complaints cited poor quality goods, undelivered orders and unprocessed refunds. A predecessor company, Funnyfuzzy UK Co. Ltd, was wound up earlier in 2024 following a separate probe.
