HMRC winding-up petition against Norfolk estate agent dismissed

Managing director Chris Starkings said those costs had been paid and the matter formally concluded, with the agency continuing to trade across Norfolk and Suffolk. A related firm, S&W Lettings Ltd, also trades under the Starkings & Watson name; its lettings arm was recently acquired by Norwich agency Pymm & Co.

It is not the first HMRC action linked to Mr Starkings' businesses: SWEA Ltd, another of his companies, was wound up in October 2024 and separately penalised for underpaying staff.
