West Sussex holiday park operator collapses into administration
Cove Communities Venture 2 Medmerry OpCo Limited, operator of Medmerry Holiday Park near Chichester, has entered administration along with parent company Cove Communities Holiday Park UK Holdco Limited. The park, closed since flooding in April 2024, will not reopen.
The site had remained shut since floodwater forced the evacuation of around 120 residents and holidaymakers, causing extensive damage.
Redevelopment plans for 308 luxury lodges were withdrawn in June, with no formal reason given to Chichester District Council.
