VMS Fleet Management files notice to appoint administrators after HMRC petition
A notice to appoint administrators was filed for VMS Fleet Management, a vehicle leasing company ranked 29th in the FN50, on Thursday 15 October. It follows a winding-up petition presented by HMRC on 9 September.
Latest status: VMS (Fleet Management) Limited – Administration (20 Oct 2026)
An earlier HMRC petition in January was withdrawn in February. In a 16 September letter, VMS told suppliers and funders it could not currently pay creditors while directors took advice. The group runs a risk fleet of 6,750 vehicles; turnover for the year to 31 May 2025 was £70.3 million.
