East Midlands insolvency activity up 11% in Q3 2026, R3 data shows
Insolvency-related activity in the East Midlands rose 11% year on year to 281 cases in the third quarter of 2026, according to R3's Business Health report, based on Creditsafe data. National levels were broadly flat.
The region's total was up 9% on the previous quarter. UK-wide there were 6,939 cases, against 6,912 a year earlier. East Midlands firms held over 708,000 overdue invoices. Construction remained the most distressed sector, with wholesale and retail now second, up 8% on Q2.
