Glens Of Antrim Potatoes Limited – Administration: Interpath appointed to Glens of Antrim Potatoes as 95 jobs go

By: dailyecho.co.uk3 Nov 2026
Glens of Antrim Potatoes Ltd, the Northern Ireland potato supplier and crisp brand owner based in Cushendall and Ballymena, has ceased trading in administration. Stuart Irwin, Ian Leonard and Robin Coughlin of Interpath were appointed joint administrators on 21 September.

Latest status: Glens Of Antrim Potatoes Limited – Administration (2 Oct 2026)

Nearly all of the company's 95 employees have been made redundant, with a small number kept on to support the administration. Trading stopped immediately on appointment.

Rising costs across the agri-food sector left the business with significant cash flow difficulties. The directors explored refinancing and new investment, but neither proved viable.

The administrators are seeking expressions of interest in the business and its assets.
