The appointment followed sustained creditor pressure, with a winding-up petition issued against the company in July. Strathmore Hotels operated eight hotels across Scotland and Northern England, all now marketed as a going concern by Christie & Co.

The 124-bedroom Victorian hotel sits in 20 acres overlooking Morecambe Bay. The portfolio, priced from £1.75 million to £6.5 million per property, is being sold whole, in part portfolios or individually.
