Luminary ROLI enters administration for a second time, orders unfulfilled

By: InsolvencyIndex5 Nov 2026
Joint administrators were appointed to Luminary ROLI Limited, the British maker of Seaboard touch-sensitive instruments, on 20 October. It is the company's second administration, following one in 2021, and customers have been left waiting on paid-for orders.

Latest status: Luminary Roli Limited – Administration (23 Oct 2026)

Damian Webb and Joe Barry of RSM UK are the joint administrators. The company relaunched as Luminary ROLI after the 2021 administration, which followed pandemic and supply chain difficulties. Customers report orders unfulfilled for months and no clarity on refunds.

Founder Roland Lamb has left the business, and a separate company, Instrumental Intelligence, was registered under his name in August. No sale of assets has been confirmed, and support for existing owners' software remains uncertain.
