East Midlands insolvency activity up 11% year on year in Q3, R3 data shows
Insolvency-related activity in the East Midlands reached 281 cases in the third quarter of 2026, up 11% on a year earlier, according to R3's Business Health report using Creditsafe data. The national picture was broadly stable.
Activity rose 9% on the previous quarter. Construction stayed the most distressed sector, with wholesale and retail now second, up 8%. Overdue invoices exceeded 708,000, 4% higher year on year.
