Schappit Ltd – Administration: Silicon Practice collapse hits up to 600 GP websites

By: InsolvencyIndex29 Oct 2026 · Updated 30 Oct 2026
Up to 600 GP practices in England and Wales have lost their websites and online consultation forms since 28 October, after Silicon Practice's parent, Schappit Ltd, entered administration.

Latest status: Schappit Ltd – Administration (27 Oct 2026)

NHS England puts the number of affected practices at fewer than 500, under a tenth of the total, while a Norwich surgery told patients that more than 1,200 were hit. Silicon Practice says it serves more than 1,000 practices in the UK.

Schappit entered administration on 16 October 2026. A notice of intention to appoint administrators had been filed in mid-October. No administrators have been named.

The lost services include practice websites, patient chatbots and the FootFall online consultation platform. Some urgent forms may be lost, practices have warned. Sites show a "502 Bad Gateway" error.
