Ecosealni Ltd, which traded in roofing activities from Moira Road, Lisburn, went into liquidation on 7 September 2023. Rainey, of Dromara, did not dispute findings that he had misapplied company funds, withdrawing money he was not entitled to, including at least £44,957.66 from a Bounce Back Loan that provided no economic benefit to the company, breaching the loan's conditions.

Rainey is now barred from acting as a director or being involved in company management without High Court permission. Breaching the undertaking could carry criminal penalties, including up to two years' imprisonment.
