Cleaning company Cornerstone from Derby goes bust, 64 jobs uncertain
British cleaning company FM Cornerstone Limited, trading as Cornerstone Facilities in Derby, has been declared insolvent following a winding-up order from the High Court. The 64 employees do not yet know what will happen to their jobs.
Accounts from January 2025 showed a shortfall of over £157,000, even after selling all assets. The company, with branches in Leeds, Birmingham, Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby, was set up in early 2024.
The Insolvency Service, which confirmed the case, will now liquidate the company under statutory procedure.
