British shoe chain Wynsors closes 17 stores after owner's warning

An exact closing date has not been announced. The move follows an earlier warning from private equity owner Modella Capital about job losses and adjustments to the store portfolio.

Modella Capital is going through a difficult year: Claire's and The Original Factory, both owned by the investor, also went bankrupt this year, resulting in the closure of a total of 291 stores. In addition, around 150 TG Jones branches are at risk due to a major restructuring.
