British manufacturer Sunseeker Holiday Homes goes bust, 80 jobs lost
British holiday home and lodge manufacturer Sunseeker Holiday Homes has ceased operations following an application for administration. Around 80 jobs are being lost at the company, based in Hull.
Sunseeker Holiday Homes had been in business for just over seven years and faced liquidity problems due to rising costs, payment terms, stock financing and staff costs. Competition from larger manufacturers selling off stock at a loss also put pressure on the company.
Frazer Ulrick of Westgates Restructuring Limited was appointed as administrator on 7 September. A sales process is currently underway for both the production site in Hull and the Sunseeker brand.
