British construction firm Helix Construct files notice of intent to appoint administrators
British construction firm Helix Construct has filed a notice with the High Court of its intention to appoint administrators. More than forty jobs are at risk at the firm, which operates in London and the South of England.
Helix Construct posted a loss of £182,000 over the 18 months to June 2025, despite revenue rising to £40 million. Founded in 2017 and part of the Helix Group, the firm focuses on design and construction in sectors such as affordable housing, education, healthcare and commercial property.
The company has been grappling with rising construction costs, project delays and a tight working capital position. Accountants raised critical concerns over the valuation of several long-term contracts.
